If you’re looking for your next bad movie night pick, definitely consider Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story. Taylor and Travis must be so embarrassed.
This cringe Hallmark Christmas movie is inspired by Taylor Swift and her love story with Kansas City Chiefs football player Travis Kelce! But honestly, the similarities end there!! This is one of the stupidest Christmas movies I’ve seen in a long time… it’s awkward, the plot makes no sense and you’ll be screaming at your screen to make it stop. Also ZERO chemistry, so get ready.
A Chiefs Love Story
IMDb synopsis: “Die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan and her family are competing to win the team’s Fan of the Year contest in a process judged by Derrick, the director of fan engagement.”
A Chiefs Love Story is a bit different from your usual Hallmark movie because it’s basically nonstop cameos. So many cameos. Just a million different cameos. And thankfully, none of them really make sense to the movie or support the plot. Yay! Love that.
Obviously there’s a connection to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs but it’s so minimal that it’s literally laughable. You might be able to catch some Taylor Swift song titles hidden in this, but that’s the extent of the connection. Also love that.
If you’d like more of a classically terrible Hallmark Christmas movie, I’d suggest Christmas in the Highlands. It’s supposed to be in Scotland but no one has a proper accent and the whole plot is hilarious.
