What happens when you get hottie Chad Michael Murray and Aly Michalka together for a romance movie by the sea? You get this monstrosity. What a hilariously terrible movie!! If you loved Chad in One Tree Hill or the latest Freakier Friday, you’ll be shocked at his performance in this. And Aly?? Of Disney Channel fame and Aly & AJ success?? She looked so mad at even being referenced in the same breath as a Hallmark movie.

A hilarious combination, I couldn’t believe it. Join me for this rant about Sand Dollar Cove: Chad Michael Murray’s fake laugh, Aly’s grimacing and one man’s love for a broken pier. You can’t make this stuff up.

Sand Dollar Cove

IMDb synopsis: “Real estate development project manager Elli is sent by her company to acquire the beachfront property they’ve chosen as the site of their new resort. Brody, the charming local wants to make sure the town’s beloved pier remains intact.”

You’d think there would be a certain level of acting skill in the movie considering both of our leads are “famous” actors but no, you’d be wrong.

Unsurprisingly, this is not Chad Michael Murray’s only bad Hallmark movie. If you want to see him in something even worse, check out my recap of Angel Falls Christmas. You’ll absolutely regret it.
